| Xiaomi has announced the Redmi 12C for the low-income groups |
The Redmi brand owned by Xiaomi has announced that its new Redmi 12C smartphone will be the latest smartphone for 2022, days after launching several products.
Last Tuesday, Xiaomi held a special event to present the Redmi K60 series mobile phones, the Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed Edition mobile phone, as well as the Redmi Watch 3 smart watch, the Redmi Wristband 2 electronic bracelet and the Redmi Buds 4 Lite wireless earphones.
The new Redmi 12C belongs to the low-end category and is aimed at people with limited incomes.
The phone is 8.77 mm thick and weighs 192 grams, with a 6.71-inch screen with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels, an aspect ratio of 20.6:9 and a contrast ratio of 1500:1.
Redmi 12C has a 5000mAh battery, 4GB or 6GB RAM (LPDD4X) and 64GB or 128GB internal storage (eMMC 5.1) expandable up to 512GB via external memory card.
There are two cameras on the back of the phone, the first has a resolution of 50 megapixels, and the resolution of the other is unknown. The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels. The phone is programmed to work with the MIUI 13 user interface based on the Android 12 operating system from Google.
The phone (Redmi 12C) will be available in blue, black, green and purple in three options: 4 GB / 64 GB for $ 100, 4 GB / 128 GB for $ 115 and 6 GB / 128 GB for $ 130.
The phone will go on sale on the official website of Xiaomi in China, starting tomorrow, Sunday, and there is still no information about the launch date in the global markets.
