| Xiaomi announced the new Redmi K60 series of phones |
On Tuesday, Xiaomi held a special event where several new products were announced, including a new series of Redmi phones.
The series includes the Redmi K60 Pro, which is equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8th Gen processor, the Redmi K60, which is equipped with the older Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and the Redmi K60E, which is equipped with the Dimensity 8200-equipped processor.
Redmi K60 Pro
The most powerful Redmi K60 Pro from the new Xiaomi series, with a thickness of 8.6 mm and a weight of 205 grams, is equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 3200 x 1440 pixels and a frequency of 120 Hz, with support for Dolby Vision imaging technology, HDR10 + technology, and a brightness level of 1400 lumens.
Programmatically, the phone runs on the MIUI 14 user interface based on the Android 13 operating system from Google and runs an octa-core processor at 3.2 GHz with Adreno 740 GPU.
The Redmi K60 Pro is available in 8GB, 12GB, or 16GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB of internal storage with the latest UFS 4.0 technology, except for the 128GB option that supports UFS 3.1 technology.
On the back of the phone are three 54-megapixel cameras with a primary aperture of f / 1.9, an 8-megapixel camera for ultra-wide-angle shots with 118-degree angles, and a third camera for telephoto shots of 2-megapixel. f / 2.4 resolution and aperture. The camera supports 8K video recording at 24 frames per second, 4K resolution at 30 or 60 frames per second, 1080p resolution with a high bit rate of 960fps, and 720p resolution at 1920fps. This phone will go on sale on December 31st, starting at $475 for the 8GB/128GB option and $660 for the 16GB/512GB option.
Redmi K60 phone
The phone has the same form factor as the Redmi K60 Pro, as it offers the same screen specifications, the number of rear cameras, where the main camera differs in resolution, 64 megapixels with an f / 1.9 lens, and the RAM and internal storage are all of the UFS 3.1 type.
The phone also has a different battery capacity, with a 5,500mAh battery capacity and a 67W connector.
Xiaomi intends to price the phone at $360 for the 8GB / 128GB option and $515 for the 16GB / 512GB option.
Redmi K60E phone
It's the first K-series phone ending in the letter E, and it shares screen specs with the other two, but with a brightness level of 1,200 lumens instead of 1,400.
The phone shares the same battery specifications as the Redmi K60 but has a 48MP main camera on the back. The phone starts at $315 for the 8GB/128GB option.
