| Twitter launches Twitter Blue for businesses |
Twitter on Monday announced the launch of a retail version of its monthly subscription service, Twitter Blue, which includes extensive customization features.
"Today we're excited to announce the launch of Twitter Blue for Business, a new way for businesses and their partners to validate themselves and be branded on Twitter," the company said in a blog post.
Twitter added that the newly launched service builds on the launch of Twitter Blue for individuals and is designed to enhance and differentiate businesses on Twitter.
A new feature for companies participating in Twitter Blue for Business is the ability to link all individuals, businesses, and brands to their accounts. This way, these accounts will get a small sticker with the parent company's image next to the blue or gold confirmation badge.
By creating this connection, Twitter enables businesses to connect within their organization on Twitter. Companies can offer their leadership, brand, and support to their customers, employees, or teams.
It should be noted that the link includes not only companies, but also journalists, their media, players of sports teams or movie personalities. Twitter said it would announce new standards, pricing or operations at a later date.
Twitter sees this as "an ideal time for companies to include more people, companies, and brands in their Twitter DNA."
Twitter has announced that it plans to add more features to the service in the future to help businesses and their partners get the most out of the Twitter platform.
