PlayStation VR2 virtual reality glasses are available for pre-order now |
Sony is now accepting pre-orders for the PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset directly, without having to wait for pre-order invitations.
Sony is preparing to launch new PlayStation VR2 glasses next year, and the company recently lifted the invitation restrictions that allowed users to start pre-ordering.
Sony has confirmed that pre-orders recorded between February 22 and February 28 of next year will begin shipping, assuming the VR headset launches during the same period.
Sony started taking pre-orders for PlayStation VR2 glasses last month, as pre-orders initially required registration by Sony, allowing users to pre-order only after approval.
The PS VR2 glasses, meanwhile, will be available next year from February 22nd for $550. Sony also offers the glasses with a charging station for the console. Glasses also have functions for the eyes. Motion tracking technology with 3D sound.
The glasses also support HDR dynamic range with a resolution of 4000 x 2040 pixels. The goggle design also has holes to support this version with added ventilation and the benefit is that the lenses can be adjusted for the best user experience by supporting a custom lens slide design.
