Musk plans to give Twitter Blue followers exclusive access to major Twitter polls |
Elon Musk said Monday that Twitter will give Twitter Blue subscribers exclusive access to polls related to company policy, the same day users voted decisively in a poll for Musk's resignation as the company's CEO.
Musk responded to a blue Twitter follower's suggestion that only followers could vote in political polls: "That's a valid point. Twitter is going to make this change," without specifying when the change would take effect.
At dawn on Monday, Musk released a poll asking his supporters, who now number 122.3 million, “Should I step down as chairman of the company? I will abide by the results of this poll.”
More than 17.5 million users took part in the vote and 57.6% supported his resignation. However, Musk has yet to come out with the vote to announce when he will retire, nor has he named a successor.
But a new CNBC report on Tuesday said Musk was looking for a new CEO for the company, adding that the search began before the Twitter investigation.
