Instagram informs users that their content is not eligible to be recommended to others |
Today, Wednesday, the Instagram service announced the launch of a new transparency tool; Its purpose is to let users know if their photos and videos are in the app.
The social network is expanding its account status center to allow users with business accounts (such as businesses and content creators) to see if their content qualifies for recommendation to non-subscribers in the Discover section, as well as recommendations for streaming short videos or content that violates our referral guidelines. .
Instagram last year launched an Account Status Center where users can check if their accounts are in good standing. The center allows users to review any content that has been removed from their account, as well as to appeal these decisions directly from the app and see if they are at risk of losing their account.
With this latest update, Instagram is allowing users who feel their content is not eligible for recommendations to view sample content or profile components that may conflict with Instagram's recommendation policies. From there, they can edit or remove posts that violate company policies.
"We know that many creators find promoting their content on Instagram a great way to reach other followers and grow their audience," Instagram said in a blog post.
"As such, we believe it is important for content creators to understand our policies and be able to recognize if the content they post or their profiles contains anything that could affect their access to non-subscribers," the service added.
Because of this, Instagram explained, it is also allowing users to appeal its decision so that its review team can review them as soon as possible, and promises to continue improving its detection technology.
Instagram said that the purpose of these new updates is to help users understand issues with their accounts.
The social network plans to further improve the account status center to cover more parts of the application, such as: b- Finding and suggesting accounts. They also want to add more ways for users to identify and troubleshoot issues that may affect how they reach non-subscribers.
Therefore, users can go to the account status center from the profile settings, then click on the account, and then click on the account status.
