Musk reveals the features of his one-stop-shop app

Twitter CEO Elon Musk said Sunday that the number of new users creating accounts on the platform has reached an "all-time high" while announcing several impressive accomplishments for the platform.

And Musk posted a tweet through his Twitter account, in which he said that in the seven days since November 16, the average number of new accounts per day exceeded 2 million accounts, an increase from the same period in 2021. 66%.

He also said that the number of active minutes for users is at an all-time high, and that the average daily active minute in the seven days following November 15 reached nearly 8 billion minutes, an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year.

And hate speech decreased on November 13 compared to last October, according to Musk's data. Reported impersonations on the platform also spiked earlier this month before and after the launch of Twitter Blue, its monthly subscription service.

Musk, who also runs companies including space giant SpaceX and electric car maker Tesla Inc, said he would accelerate his ambition to develop his own X-App.

According to Musk's tweet, Twitter 2.0 The Everything will include features such as encrypted private messages, long-form tweets, and electronic payment capabilities.

In another tweet today, Musk said that "within 12 to 18 months, the number of active Twitter users per month will pass 1 billion.

It should be noted that Musk's tweet was an attempt to showcase Twitter's current "bright" future at a time when the platform is experiencing a mass advertiser exodus, as users flee to other platforms for fear of account verification and hate speech.

Many big advertisers, including General Motors and Volkswagen, have paused advertising on the platform due to the turmoil since Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion on October 28 of this year.

Musk previously acknowledged that Twitter had seen a "significant drop in revenue" due to advertisers pulling out, then accused a coalition of civil rights groups of pressuring the platform's top advertisers without Twitter making any efforts to moderate the content.

Hundreds of Twitter employees are believed to have left the ailing company after Musk warned employees they would have to work "long, intense hours" or leave.
