LG announces the first 12-inch expandable monitor |
LG announces the world's first 12-inch extendable monitor with the highest display quality.
LG is known for its innovations and new technologies in the display industry, and today the company is adding new technologies to the display industry based on a free-form design that supports expansion.
Since 2020, LG has been developing this screen design in cooperation with the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
The screen supports stretching, bending or twisting without damaging, scratching or wrinkling the screen, and this is the first screen with 20% stretch feature, supports display density of up to 100ppi and covers all RGB colors.
LG also confirmed that the screen design will support the smooth commercialization of the final product when it arrives, as the company has high hopes for such screens.
LG screens are made of high-quality silicone, which is often used in the manufacture of contact lenses. Thus, the screen has a rubber-like design that allows for expansion from 12 inches to 14 inches.
The display also features a micro-LED backlight and a rugged design that supports endurance.
It's worth noting that LG hasn't officially confirmed when it plans to move this design from production to screen.
