Honor officially unveiled the new Honor Magic Vs |
Honor announced today, Wednesday, that its new foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic Vs, is the successor to the Honor Magic V that was announced earlier this year, along with the new Honor 80 series phones.
The new phone is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, and the weight savings are attributed to a new hinge design that allows the phone to open and close without a gap, according to the company.
The new Honor Magic Vs is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and comes with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage.
It is worth noting that Honor has released a special version of the phone called Honor Magic Vs Ultimate, which comes with 16 GB of RAM and works with the new Magic Pen that connects to the foldable phone via Bluetooth.
The Honor Magic Vs mobile phone uses a 7.9-inch foldable internal OLED display with a resolution of 2272 x 1984 pixels, a frequency of 90Hz, and a brightness of 800 lumens. Theoretically, based on these specifications, the screen of the new phone looks similar to that of its predecessor, Honor Magic V.
The external screen is of the type OLED, with dimensions of 6.45 inches, with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels, a frequency of 120 Hz, and support for HDR10 + technology, which, thanks to 10-bit technology, has the advantage of more than 1 billion display colors.
Honor claims that the foldable display is wrinkle-free because the new hinge is "designed with a one-piece processing technology." Instead of 92 elements, now there are only 4 with the same strength and durability. According to the company, the hinge has been tested in its lab to withstand more than 400,000 flexes and more than a decade of use, assuming the phone is opened and closed 100 times a day.
The Honor Magic Vs phone is distinguished by its three cameras, as the main camera has a resolution of 54 megapixels and an f / 1.9 lens slot with a Sony IMX800 sensor, in addition to a 50-megapixel secondary camera capable of taking ultra-wide-angle images. Close-up photography is provided, and the third camera, which is dedicated to imaging depths, is more accurate. 8 megapixels with 3x optical zoom.
As for the front camera, which has a resolution of 16 megapixels and an f / 2.45 lens slot in the external screen slot, the company did not announce anything about the device’s foldable screen camera, which it uses in conferences.
Honor Magic Vs has a built-in 5000mAh battery and supports 66W fast charging technology, which can charge from 0% to 100% in 46 minutes. Programmatically, the phone works with the new MagicOS 7.0 interface, based on the Android 12 operating system that was announced yesterday (Tuesday).
The new Honor phone will be available in three colors, orange, blue and black, and the higher version will also have two exclusive colors, black and gold.
In terms of price, the 8GB/256GB model is $1,050, the 12GB/256GB model is $1,120, and the 12GB/512GB option goes for $1,260. Honor Magic Vs Ultimate Edition is priced at $1,520.
