Garmin Bounce kids smartwatch launched with LTE connectivity and built-in GPS
Garmin has launched a new smartwatch called Garmin Bounce and the greatest feature of this new smartwatch is that it has GPS and 4G LTE connectivity.
Parents can actively track their children's location via the built-in GPS and communicate with them via text and voice messages. Parents control the smartwatch through the Garmin Jr app, which requires an active Garmin Connect account. The monthly subscription for LTE functionality costs around $10 / €11.
GPS also allows for activity tracking, and the brand also has a rewards system that rewards "collectible gems" for achieving various daily activity goals. The smartwatch also provides games and quizzes to play during "parental approval" hours.
To reduce distractions, parents also have the option to actively turn off the tool during school hours or at night. It does not affect Bounce's ability to count steps and track sleep.
Garmin Bounce comes with a durable plastic body, silicone strap, and a 1.3-inch color LCD screen with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels. With default settings, the battery lasts up to two days on a single charge. The watch can track swimming times and is water resistant up to 5 ATM.
The Garmin Bounce is available in black, green, and purple for $150 / €180 through the Garmin online store.
