| A report from South Korea reveals the launch date of the Samsung Galaxy S23 |
A report from South Korea claims that Samsung may launch its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S23, in the first week of February 2023.
“The S23 series will be unveiled at the Unpacked event in the US in February,” Korea JoongAng Daily quoted an unnamed source as saying. The event is believed to take place in San Francisco, California.
The date provided by the South Korean newspaper coincides with previous reports that Samsung plans to launch its next flagship phone, as the South Korean website Chosun mentioned earlier this month that the launch date will be in February.
In recent years, Samsung used to launch flagship phones in February, such as, for example, the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S20 series phones will be launched in February 2022 and February 2020, respectively, but Samsung chose to launch the Galaxy S21 series phones earlier than expected. January 2021.
As for the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy S23 phones, the leaked images show that the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus phones will drop the triple rear camera bump, making it similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which was released earlier this year.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra shouldn't be much different in terms of looks, but it will offer a higher resolution of 200MP compared to the Galaxy S22 Ultra's 108MP.

Samsung's latest flagship, the Galaxy S23, is unlikely to be immune from the inflationary wave hitting many countries around the world. South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo reported that the prices of the phones will be higher than previous versions.
