The Polestar 3 EV will be available in late 2023 starting at $85300 |
In the end, Polestar successfully completed its first electric SUV. The new official Polestar 3 is now scheduled to go on sale in the US in the last quarter of 2023, starting at $85,300. The car can be pre-ordered now.
Polestar 3 promises solid performance. With a 111 kW battery, Volvo is touting a range of 379 miles (using a WLTP test procedure).
Polestar also claims a 5-second 0-62 mph time of the 483-hp twin-motor system (4.7 seconds, 510 hp with the $6000 Performance package), a 130 mph top speed and aided in a 250 kW fast charge.
In addition, the Polestar 3 is equipped with an array of cameras, radar and ultrasonic sensors to provide Volvo's safety features, including an interior radar that warns children if they are left in the back seat.
You can also order the affordable Pilot Pack with LiDAR, paving the way for autonomous driving capabilities.
The 14.5-inch infotainment display will benefit from the Snapdragon cockpit platform, the first Polestar model to use the NVIDIA Drive computer to power driver assistance features.
This year's prototype will include an additional and regular driver's package, offering features like a 25-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system with Dolby Atmos, a head-up display, and highway and park assist.
