BOE announces a 65% increase in the transparency of MLED screens

Today, the BOE announced that it is testing MLED screens with a 65% increase in transparency.

Highly transparent screens usually have a low pixel density and low brightness, but today BOE has introduced a new screen technology called MLED technology, which aims to solve the problems faced by traditional screens on the market.

MLED screen is said to support 65% higher light transmission than other screens, BOE has developed a 16-inch panel with new technology, supports 1000 nits brightness, and has a contrast ratio of 100,000:1.

Light transmission to pixel distance is increased by 90%. The BOE team arranges the pixels for the highest light transmission while making effective use of pixel pitch.

Light transmission is expected to improve with increasing pixel pitch, but when shooting, manufacturers have problems improving image quality.

The new BOE screen design also improves the display quality of the 2.5K screen compared to LG's technology on OLED screens with 45% transparency.

BOE is currently testing the new MLED screen at TÃœV Rheinland for certification to confirm the screen's effectiveness in reducing blue light emissions to improve eye comfort.
