TCL launches crowdfunding Nxtwear S smart glasses on Kickstarter |
TCL has launched a Kickstarter campaign for its new smart glasses; Nxtwear S Apparently, the TCL Nxtwear S glasses promise a viewing experience similar to a 140-inch TV from about 13 feet away.
The smart glasses have also been certified by TÃœV Rheinland for Low Blue Light. The TCL Nxtwear S crowdfunding campaign raised more than $239,000 in registered funds from 681 backers.
The new TCL Nxtwear S is an improvement over the previous TCL smart glasses. It has a small OLED screen that produces 1080p resolution. Nxtwear S also offers 2D content and is compatible with Windows and Android platforms.
Nxtwear S can be used on smartphones, tablets, computers and many gaming devices. You can also connect headphones via Bluetooth to listen to audio from your smartphone.
Smart glasses are affordable, which will increase the demand for them. The Nxtwear S is also equipped with a lightweight frame that provides users with a special visual experience and cinematic sound clarity.
These smart glasses also work with iOS when used with pairs of adapters for devices that use magnetic pogo pin connectors. Hardware controls include a turntable to switch between display modes and adjust volume. The DCI-P3 screen coverage rate is over 90%, and the overall result is 47 pixels/degree.
The Nxtwear S is only available through Kickstarter, with discounted prices starting at $329. The crowdfunding campaign runs until the beginning of November.
