Sony plans to produce 2 million PSVR2 glasses by March 2023


A new report from Bloomberg confirms that Sony aims to produce two million units of the new PSVR2 virtual reality glasses by March 2023.

Sony appears to have high hopes for sales of its next generation augmented reality glasses, PSVR2, as the company has already started mass-producing PlayStation VR2, and a new report from Bloomberg indicates that Sony has decided to launch it to ramp up production. Virtual reality glasses that are scheduled to be launched early next year.

With plans to adjust production forecasts after the initial sales phase of the PSVR2 glasses, Sony is working on making PS5 hardware available to coincide with the launch of the virtual reality glasses.

The report confirmed that Sony plans to bring the devices into stores to boost marketing and advertising of the virtual reality game Mountain VR.

In addition, the total number of VR games currently in development reaches 20 new games developed by Sony and others.
