Supco PIT1 Pocket Infrared Thermometer

Sopco PIT1 Pocket Infrared Thermometer, -33 to 220°C, -27 to 428°F, Accuracy + or -2°C, °C

The Supco PIT1 Infrared Pocket Thermometer is used to measure temperature in HVAC applications including heating and cooling systems, supply and return coils, circuit breaker panels, motors and bearings, transformers and pipes. Measures temperatures from -33 to 220°C (-27 to 428°F) with an accuracy of + or - 2°C (4°F). Infrared sensors measure temperature over long distances and are useful in applications with hard-to-reach, moving, hot or live equipment. The thermometer has a point-to-point ratio of 1:1, which means that at a target distance of 1 foot, the measuring area is approximately 1 in diameter. It also features adjustable operating settings that help improve measurement accuracy on a variety of surface types. The LCD screen displays the current temperature and the maximum or minimum temperature readings for the session. The thermometer can be carried in a shirt pocket and carried hands-free. It is powered by a single CR2032 battery (included) and has an auto-off function to save battery life.

* H is the height, the vertical distance from the lowest point to the highest point; W is the width and the horizontal distance from left to right; D is the depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.

Infrared digital thermometer measures surface temperature remotely. You can measure temperatures in Celsius, Fahrenheit, or both. Infrared (IR) thermometers work by focusing infrared radiation from a surface onto a detector called a thermopile. The hot coolant converts heat into electrical energy, which is measured and converted into a temperature reading. Then the reading is displayed on the LCD screen. Infrared thermometers are used to measure temperature on fragile objects (such as ear thermometers) or near hazards (such as industrial facilities).

Supco manufactures test kits and parts for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The company was founded in 1945 and is headquartered in Allenwood, New Jersey.
