Pictures show the design of the electric Porsche 718 Boxster

A number of automakers are developing a new generation of electric cars, and Porsche has also started work on an electric version of the compact Porsche 718 Boxster.

German luxury car manufacturer Porsche plans to officially unveil the electric Porsche 718 Boxster in 2025.

Motor1 has sketched out the design of the Porsche 718 Boxster and offers a glimpse into the design planned for the release ahead of its official launch.

The images also show the expected changes to the electric version of the car, which features wedge headlights with side air intakes, as well as a new front bumper design that mimics the Mission R model.

Specifically, Porsche is expected to keep the mid-engine in the electric version of the Porsche 718 Boxster, sitting on a platform called "EPI", which is also used by Audi.
