Meta introduces Quest Pro VR glasses with new technology for $1,500 |
Meta has announced the $1,500 Quest Pro VR headset that includes mixed reality technology.
On October 25, Meta will begin shipping a new version of the Meta Quest Pro VR headset, based on Qualcomm's Snapdragon chip that supports more efficient graphics performance.
On the other hand, the Quest Pro VR glasses have an improved touch motion controller, which supports hand movement tracking by new sensors, which is more efficient.
The Quest Pro VR glasses are also the most expensive Meta glasses launched so far, like the company's previous version, the Meta Quest 2, which launched for $1,100.
Meta points out that the reason for the high price is the advanced technology for the introduction of virtual reality glasses.
It has been reported that the glasses are equipped with more efficient lenses to provide users with a better reading experience, and the glasses are also bringing mixed reality technology, which is a new step for the company to expand into the Metaverse.
Meta has also partnered with Microsoft to provide apps optimized for VR glasses and plans to release specific Microsoft apps for VR devices, including VR Teams, Microsoft 365, and the Xbox cloud game service.
