MacOS Ventura will be released to all users on October 24

Apple announced macOS Ventura alongside iOS 16 at WWDC 2022 in June. However, while the iOS update was released in September, macOS 13 has been pushed back to October.

Apple has now confirmed that macOS Ventura will be available to everyone next Monday, October 24.

macOS Ventura (or macOS 13) will come with many new features. The next version of the operating system improves the continuity functions between iPhone and Mac, so that the iPhone can now be used as a computer webcam. Another new Continuity feature allows you to transfer FaceTime calls from iPhone to Mac and vice versa.

Just like on iOS, iMessage users can finally edit and drag messages on macOS. Mail has also been updated with the option to undo email, and Safari now supports passkeys, a new way to authenticate apps and websites without traditional passwords.

There are many other new features, such as a desktop view, a new game API, a redesigned Game Center control panel, a scene manager, and the first-ever weather app on a Mac.

According to Apple, macOS Ventura will be available to all users on November 24. This update requires a Mac version of 2017 or later.
