Lenovo launches IdeaPad 5 gaming Chromebook starting at $599 |
Lenovo has launched a new Chromebook aimed at gamers. The device, called the IdeaPad Gaming Chromebook, supports game streaming services like Amazon Luna, Nvidia GeForce Now, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
In terms of specs, the Chromebook has a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels (WQXGA), a 120Hz refresh rate and full coverage of the RGB color space.
The screen is TÃœV Rheinland certified for low blue light, so you can easily protect your eyes during long gaming sessions with a peak brightness of 350 nits.
The device comes with two processor options; You can choose between Intel Core i3-1215U or Core i5-1235U. The i3 option has two performance cores, four efficiency cores, and eight path threads. The i5 model, on the other hand, comes with two performance cores, eight efficiency cores and a total of twelve lanes.
The device comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, as well as a variety of storage options to choose from: 128GB eMMC flash storage, 256GB SSD M.2 storage, 512GB storage M.2 SSD.
When it comes to audio, the laptop has a 2W quad speaker and 1080p webcam.
The device will go on sale later this month, with a starting price of $599. No release date or fixed price has been announced for other markets.
