Last year, Instagram announced that it had updated its blocking options, allowing users to block not just a single account, but any new accounts that person might create.

The company said that based on the results of initial tests, it expects that the number of accounts whose users will be banned will be less than 4 million per week as these accounts are automatically banned.

To help more creators, I've also started testing whether the hidden words feature will be automatically enabled and can be disabled for creator accounts at any time.

The word search feature, designed to protect users from potentially offensive comments made by other users, now includes responses to Stories that were previously limited to posting comments. It also supports new languages like: Persian, Turkish, Russian, Bengali, Tamil, etc.

Instagram also said it has improved filtering to detect offensive phrases that are spelled differently to prevent them from being detected, and the feature currently includes English, with more languages and countries to follow soon.

It does this by displaying a new notification urging users to slow down and think before acting on offensive comments. This feature now supports app users in the following languages: Arabic, English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Chinese.

Instagram said it has started reminding users to respect others in private messages, adding that the feature will be rolled out globally in the coming weeks.
