Google unveils second-generation Nest Doorbell

Google has officially launched the second generation of the Nest Doorbell, which comes with a wired connection.

The Nest Doorbell is available in four colors: Snow, Linen, Ash, and Ivy. It costs $180 in the US and is available now.

The wired doorbell is about 30% smaller than the battery-powered version, which means it's easier to install in tight spaces.

The camera offers HDR technology and the company claims that the device has been tested in a variety of conditions to ensure clear images. In addition, the company was able to eliminate the fish-eye effect.

DXOMark, known for its review of smartphone cameras, called this new doorbell the best doorbell camera tested.

The camera can identify the type of objects that appear in the frame and can tell if it is a person, animal or vehicle, making it easier for users to receive alerts for certain types of triggers, thus reducing spam.

The device also has a "speak and listen" feature, which basically means that it supports two-way communication. There is also an option to play a pre-recorded message for the visitor.

When memory is accessed, the device can record important events for up to an hour, including sounds, movements, and other activities. It also stores about three hours of video history and up to five minutes of footage per event for free.
