Galaxy S23 Ultra test results show significant performance improvement |
According to MySmartPrice, the Galaxy S23 Ultra Edition has only appeared in the US on Geekbench with model number SM-S918U.
Apparently, the phone scored 1521 points in the single-core test and about 4,689 points in the multi-core test. For comparison, the S22 Ultra scored 1157 and 3307 points respectively in the same test.
Performance seems to have increased quite a bit, and since this is likely a non-final build and needs more software improvements, the final version should score higher.
The version tested has 8GB of RAM, but Samsung may also sell a 12GB version, and the new LPDDR5X DRAM technology Samsung announced a few days ago is expected to improve the phone's performance even more.
With great performance, overheating is a big issue, but given that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is likely to be manufactured by TSMC rather than Samsung, that shouldn't be an issue.
