| Apple may release iPadOS 16.1 on October 24 |
Apple usually releases a new iPadOS with an identical iOS version, but that wasn't the case this year. Although iOS 16 was released over a month ago, iPadOS 16 has not yet been finalized.
However, Bloomberg's Mark Gorman said that the stable version of iPadOS 16.1 will be released on October 24.
Apple hasn't confirmed a release date yet, but Gorman expects that to happen soon and believes the company will follow its strategy of releasing new products and firmware updates during the week of the earnings report.
Apple is expected to release its results for the fourth quarter of 2022 on October 27 at 2:00 PM PT. We may also see new hardware announcements for the new iPads with the M2 iPad Pro, M2 Pro and M2 Max MacBook Pro models.
