Apple augmented reality glasses scan your iris for biometrics |
Apple is said to be working on an augmented reality headset, and the device is set to launch next year. However, it is normal for new obstacles to arise, and Apple is already working hard to find new solutions.
Privacy is an increasingly popular topic in the tech community. For this reason, many companies focus on the importance of biometric authentication.
Apple devices currently support one of two forms of biometric authentication, Touch ID or Face ID. Both are of course not particularly suitable for virtual or augmented reality goggles. As such, Apple will work on a new form of biometric authentication: iris scanning.
Basically, it works the same way as Face ID and Touch ID. Users can verify their identity, log into their personal accounts and start making payments.
