Milwaukee MW801 LED Economy Portable pH/EC/TDS Meter |
The Milwaukee MW801 is a portable pH, Conductivity (EC) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) meter with automatic temperature compensation (ATC), single point manual calibration with dial, single line LCD display, built-in pH probe, electrical conductivity, and TDS, mounting kit and probe holder. Researchers and hobbyists use pH/EC/TDS monitors to measure nutritional parameters and conductivity of materials in hydroponics, greenhouses, horticulture, water testing, and scientific applications. The single-line LCD displays the current reading. The scale is manually calibrated at two points via a dial on the front panel. The meter comes complete with a MA850 assembly, an amplifier, two connectors, a hydrogen electrode with an integrated EC/TDS probe, a built-in temperature sensor, and a 1 meter (3.3 ft) cable. The meter provides approximately 150 hours of continuous use on a 9V battery (included), and the auto-off feature turns the meter off after 8 minutes of inactivity to conserve battery life. The MW801 also comes with a mounting kit, probe holder, calibration bag, and instructions.

A pH meter, also called a sensor or tester, is a device used to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. The pH meter has a portable or table top component. Many portable gauges are portable devices. Some testers have an internal sensor and may have a tip and body suitable for measuring the container. This instrument is commonly used in many different environments, from laboratories to field research and manufacturing facilities. pH meters are used by researchers, manufacturers, and hobbyists in aquaculture, agriculture, winemaking, water testing, and scientific applications. Some pH meters can measure other parameters such as dissolved oxygen (DO), conductivity (also called conductivity or EC), temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), salinity, resistivity, or oxygen reduction potential (ORP)/mV.
Milwaukee Instruments manufactures electrochemical instruments and solutions for water analysis under the Milwaukee and Martini brand names. The company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Rocky Mountain, North Carolina.
