New details about the upcoming foldable Pixel phone camera are emerging |
In July, a developer scoured Google's code and revealed some camera details on the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel tablets, and the Pixel foldable phone.
The same developer reviewed the Android 13 Quarterly v1 code of the platform and found camera details about what could be the second foldable Pixel phone.
The phone, codenamed "Felix", mentions foldable and non-foldable cases, as well as external and internal cameras. The rear camera system consists of three modules: 64 MP IMX787 (main camera), 12 MP IMX386 (ultra-wide sensor), 10.8 MP S5K3J1 (telephoto). The built-in camera uses an 8MP IMX355 sensor, while the external front camera also uses the S5K3J1 sensor.
The developers also found evidence of another high-end pixel tablet called "T6Pro" or "tangorpro". The code suggests that it's in the early stages of development, but it shows no change from the regular shape known as "T6" or "Tangor".
Google is hosting an event to announce the Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro, and Pixel Watch on October 6. It remains to be seen if the company will show the Pixel and the foldable tablet at the event, or at least give us a preview of the devices that will be fully revealed later.
