Google announces new features for Gboard Near Share Wear OS and Meet

Google has shared some of the new features rolling out to Android this month, including a slew of Gboard and Emoji updates, as well as new accessibility features. Google Meet, Wear OS, and Near Share have also received some attention.

Gboard is getting a new Emoji feature that lets you quickly add emojis to messages after you type them. You can try it now in GBoard beta.

Emoji Kitchen allows you to mix emojis to create new ones, and Android has added many new combinations.

Google Meet is getting a new live sharing feature that lets you watch and play games together while on a video call. You can now pin specific participants to a Google Meet call of your choice. This will be put up.

Close to Share, on the other hand, will get the option to activate in the coming weeks. This allows users to use their Google account to send content to nearby devices without prompting, even when the screen is off. Google Apps will also provide larger tools optimized for Android tablets.

There are two new Android accessibility features for the hard of hearing and the visually impaired. One is called a custom audio notification, and when enabled, it will hear specific tones and notify users with vibrations, flashes, or Wear OS notifications. This feature detects things like running water, crying babies, dogs barking, and smoke alarms. Google TV now offers a curated library of movies with audio descriptions for the blind and visually impaired.

Wear OS finally has a new Bitmoji face and a new Google Keep panel to easily dictate notes or quickly review your other notes.
