BMW iX3 will get a new four-engine version in 2023 |
Not available in the US or Canada, the BMW iX3 is perhaps one of the most unusual electric SUVs in the German automaker's current EV lineup.
The iX3 is largely based on the regular BMW X3 internal combustion engine platform, which also means that the electric SUV has a fairly traditional design. However, the so-called M version could soon turn the BMW iX3 into a powerful SUV.
Besides the rumors of the BMW iX4, the BMW iX3 could be an all-electric M car, according to a recent report from InsideEVs. These electric cars will likely be more powerful than the M versions of the larger BMW i4 and BMW iX.
Apparently, the BMW iX3 M and BMW iX4 M could be based on a new four-motor electric powertrain that should easily exceed the 536 hp of the BMW i4 M50.
These rumors seem to be based on information from an anonymous source, and the BMW iX3 M and iX4 M could be officially revealed as early as next year.
