China Car Custom has announced that it will be joining the racing in the auto industry and exiting its business, which has been focused on auto tuning. The company is backed by Xiaomi, and Senior Vice President Liu De is one of the directors of the CCCC.
Equipped with two seats and two doors, the SC01 electric sports car is powered by two electric motors with a total power of 320 kW (429 hp). This luxurious looking car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. This is not a record, but the low light weight of 1300 kg should ensure a comfortable ride.
Apart from its attractive appearance and decent performance, this car has another distinguishing feature. It starts at just $42,000 (300,000 CNY). s
Although the company plans to start production next year and start deliveries by the end of 2023, orders have already been received. All potential customers need to deposit 199 yuan (less than $28) to secure their online position.
