VESA released the new ClearMR standard for on-screen motion blur

VESA has released a new standard for describing and defining motion blur on displays, called the ClearMR standard.

Many displays suffer from motion blur issues, the cause of which often cannot be determined, and today VESA released the first standard capable of identifying and describing display motion blur as an accurate standard.

The ClearMR standard aims to standardize the description and measurement of motion blur, and new standards are beginning to appear on next-generation gaming monitors and TVs.

The ClearMR standard states that the screen was tested to determine screen performance and measure the percentage of motion blur using a scale called the Clear Motion Ratio.

CMR also determines screen blur and blue performance based on the pixel-to-screen blur ratio.

For example, if the CMR of the monitor is between 6500 and 7500, the pixel resolution of the monitor is 65 to 75 times better than Blur, and standard levels range from ClearMR 3000 to ClearMR 9000 in increments of 1000.
