Sony confirms PS VR2 launch in early 2023 |
Nearly six years after launching that version in 2016, Sony announced on Instagram on Monday that its next console-based VR headset won't be available until "early 2023."
The company introduced new hardware in February, including updated glasses and an improved game console. PS VR2 is designed to better match the PS5 design and will offer live streaming and cinema mode capabilities.
According to a PlayStation blog last month, the new settings will run at 90/120Hz at a resolution of 4000 x 2040 (2000 x 2040 per eye), while a "Visual Mode" safety feature will prevent roaming players from playing in virtual realms like Quest for playing Guardians of meta.
