Samsung will release a second update for Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro in a month |
Samsung's latest Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro devices are getting their second software update within a month of their August 2022 release, and this update will obviously bring hardware stability improvements.
The Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro are powered by the One UI Watch user interface, which was first released with Wear OS 3.5.
If your new Galaxy smartwatch has to release two updates in quick succession, that's a sign that a deep-rooted problem was discovered after the release. None of the models will ship at the advertised speed. Another issue that has been identified is the D-Buckle Sport Band that comes with the Pro version, which can cause problems on some laptops.
The update rollout shows Samsung's reaction to fixing some notable bugs on the new Galaxy smartwatch. Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro are getting the latest update.
The new update is titled R9xx0XXU1AVH6 and will be rolled out sequentially to all regions. The update is only available in North America at the moment. We expect Samsung to expand its reach to other continents soon. This update maintains the July 2022 device security patch rollup.
A new software update for Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro will improve overall system stability and reliability. It also implements a new install code to run the watch, but the new features are not included in the latest update.
