Google is improving Google TV performance and app management

Since the launch of Google TV almost two years ago, Google has started adding new features to the platform. Includes current iOS support. Now the company is preparing to roll out the latest update to Google TV.

According to Google, new CPU and cache management improvements will reduce the time it takes for the For You tab to load on startup. Assuming that after installing the latest update, tab browsing and switching between multiple tabs is more responsive.

The Live Streaming tab also reduces the display of animations downloaded from Google TV. Google said switching to a child's profile would also take less time. But the best part is that the software now uses less RAM, resulting in a much smoother viewing experience.

Additionally, Google has added a "Free up space" option to the Settings menu to make it easier to clear the program's cache and uninstall apps you don't use. The feature is already available on Chromecast with Google TV and will soon be available on Smart TVs as well.

The company has also made some secret changes to reduce the number of errors users see when trying to install new apps. Finally, there's a new automated process to free up space on your device so you can install more apps.
