VTech DM221 Audio Baby Monitor with up to 1,000 ft of Range |
VTech DM221 Voice Baby Monitor, 1000ft Range, Vibration Voice Alert, Talk Talk and Night Light Ring, White/Silver
The VTech DM221 Digital Audio Monitor uses DECT 6.0 digital technology to deliver crystal clear transmission and eliminate the annoying white noise you hear from analog monitors. The only sound you hear is from your baby. Digital transmission completely eliminates background noise and distractions, so you can be sure that the only sound you - and only you - hear is your child's. Make sure the child's device is turned on. Bring the parent unit closer to the baby unit, but no more than 1 meter/3 feet. If you are using the controller in wireless mode, the battery may be low and need to be charged. A full charge takes 12 hours. Reset the system by turning off both devices, waiting at least 1 minute, then reconnecting the power. Give the two units time to relate to each other. A nearby cordless phone or other electronic device may interfere with the baby monitor. Keep these devices as far away as possible. If the night light is on and no sound is detected within 15 minutes, the light will turn off by itself.
Product use tips
- Simply plug both units into the power source and wait one minute for the two units to connect to each other.
- Crystal clear sound thanks to DECT 6.0 digital technology. For best reception, place the device away from cordless phones or other electronic devices and keep the parent's device within 1 meter of the child's device.
- You can choose to hear the subunit all the time or above a certain VOX level. And set the Parent unit to alert you with a tone or vibration.
- The base unit is powered by rechargeable batteries or AC power. A fully charged battery can work 9-16 hours depending on the sensitivity setting of the screen. Since it can take up to 11 hours to fully charge the battery, turning off the parent unit while charging can help reduce charging time.
- The parent unit is preset to sound a safety reminder when connected to the baby unit. You can turn it off by pressing MENU / RECALL / SELECT / OFF after the initial setting.
- An array of five LEDs on the parent unit indicates the volume level in your child's room, allowing you to visually monitor the noise level while the receiver is muted. In vibrate mode, the parent unit warns you with a gentle vibration when your baby is agitated.
- If you have 2 base units (for DM221-2), talk from parent to slave (for DM221) and to the other parent unit. You can use both parent units to talk to slave units at the same time.
- The child unit ring flashes. Parent and child units allow you to turn the night light on or off. If no sound is detected for 15 minutes, the light will turn off.
- The belt clip on the parent unit allows you to move around the house hands-free.
- CLEAR, LONG-RANGE SOUND - DECT 6.0 technology delivers crystal-clear audio transmission, eliminating annoying background noises and allowing you to move from room to room. With a range of up to 1,000 feet, you can stay connected to your baby in another room
- 5-level sound indicators and two-way communication - LED lights on the parent unit show the sound level in your baby's room, allowing you to visually monitor the noise level. You can talk to your child from any room via the intercom system built into the parent unit. Do not use cleaning sprays or liquid detergents
- Baby Unit Night Light - This calming baby unit light gently illuminates a darkened baby's room. With the mother and baby unit, you can turn on or off the night light of the baby unit
- Baby Acoustic Sensitivity - You can choose to hear the baby unit all the time or above a certain level. You can use the parent unit to adjust the microphone sensitivity of the slave
- The parent unit runs on NiMH rechargeable batteries or electric power. When babysitting, be sure to use both battery and AC power. Relying only on the battery, the main device can only work wirelessly for a short time
