Instagram is about to get NFT |
Meta plans to bring non-fungible NFT tokens to Instagram in the coming months.
That's what Mark Zuckerberg said, first breaking the news during a conversation with businessman Diamond John at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
Mark Zuckerberg said the company is adding non-fungible NFT tokens. However, he did not describe what it might look like. However, it has been suggested that people should be able to see both current and potential NFTs.
"I am not ready to announce today's situation," he added. But that includes the opportunity to bring some of your own NFTs over the next few months, and hopefully over time you'll be able to build things around that environment.
Zuckerberg and other CEOs have already expressed interest in NFTs. Adam Mosseri said the company is actively looking into the technology. But there is no real advertisement.
The Financial Times reported in January that teams at Facebook and Instagram were working on NFT integration. The report notes that features that allow you to use NFTs as cross-platform tools and NFT calculations, and discussions around building markets have also progressed. The company had hoped to add NFTs to the Novi crypto wallet.

Zuckerberg also said that NFTs could one day play a role in the virtual business world. He added, “The clothes worn in your virtual world can be stamped as NFT and you can take them to different places. You have to deal with many technical issues before they happen.
Zuckerberg, who is known for wearing the same gray T-shirt every day, cited his shopping habits as a reason to make Instagram more of a shopping platform.
He said he now does most of the shopping on Facebook and Instagram. "Most of the clothes I wear are bought through Instagram, the Facebook store, or through ads," he added.
Zuckerberg was engaged in discussions about the changing landscape of metaverses and digital culture when he confirmed the information.
