Honor announces Magic 4 Pro with 100W wireless charging |
Honor, a former sub-brand of Huawei, has launched its latest flagship smartphone, Magic 4 Pro, which can be wirelessly charged at 100W and charged to 50% in just 15 minutes.
In addition to 100W wireless charging, the phone also features 100W wired charging, which Honor says can fully charge the device's 4,600mAh battery in 30 minutes.
The Magic 4 Pro was released alongside the smaller Magic 4 with 66W wired fast charging support.
Magic 4 Pro starts at 1099 euros. The Magic 4 starts at €899. Both will be available in the coming months. That's right, although Honor hasn't shared a specific release date or market.
As you would expect from a modern and flagship smartphone, Honor emphasizes the capabilities of the Magic 4 Pro's camera. The phone has three cameras on the back, including a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with a 122-degree field of view, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and 100x optical zoom. digital zoom.
And the standard Magic 4 has an 8-megapixel telephoto lens instead of a telephoto lens.
The Magic 4 Pro features a 6.81-inch OLED LTPO display with a resolution of 1312 x 2848 pixels, the ability to dynamically adjust the refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz, and it also curves around the edges of the device's screen.
Meanwhile, the standard Magic 4 has the same size and 120Hz refresh rate, but is curved around the edges of the device and has a resolution of 1224 x 2664 pixels.
Both offer 1,000 nits of brightness with HDR10+ and 100% DCI-P3.
HONOR strives to produce its hardware production line
The company says the advantages of LTPO over OLED include more efficient power consumption, better control of the refresh rate, and reduced eye fatigue.
The Magic 4 series is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. There is also a dedicated security chip that can store biometrics, passwords, and payment details.
Magic 4 is available with 8 or 12 GB of RAM and 128 to 512 GB of storage.
Although the Magic 4 Pro shares the same specs, it lacks the 128GB option. The Magic 4 Pro has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. But Magic 4 has an IP54 rating. As such, the Magic 4 should be able to withstand splashing liquids rather than being completely submerged.
Thanks to Honor's separation from its previous parent company Huawei, its phones can now install Google apps and services, including the Google Play Store.
Honor says both phones will be powered by Magic UI 6.0 based on Android 12. An exclusive feature of the Magic 4 Pro models is Honor's own dialing feature, which uses directional audio to cancel noise from the phone's built-in speakers during a call. bell jar;
The release of the Magic 4 series comes six months after the company announced details about the Magic 3 series, and Honor said at the time that it hoped to release the Magic 3 and Magic 3 Pro globally. But none of this appears to be widespread outside of China.
And with Honor trying to make a name for itself independently of Huawei, there's no doubt that the Magic 4 series will be different.
