Oppo launches a flagship phone called Find X5 Pro |
The Chinese manufacturer Oppo wants to fill the gap left by Huawei in the growing European smartphone market. The new Oppo Find X5 Pro takes on the role of the flagship model thanks to the latest equipment and a partnership with Hasselblad.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro 5G will not be a budget phone. At a price of more than 1200 euros, it is likely that there will be only one version.
Oppo Find X5 Pro features a 6.7-inch LTPO-based AMOLED display with rounded edges. The panel supports 10-bit HDR and offers a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
The screen resolution is 3216 x 1440 pixels and the screen cover is made of Corning Gorilla Victus Glass. There is also a fingerprint reader integrated at the bottom of the screen.
The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor at a maximum frequency of 3.0GHz, along with Cortex-X2, Cortex-A710 and Cortex-A510, an integrated 5G modem and supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and NFC.
The Oppo model has 12GB of RAM and uses LPDDR5X memory. There are also not many options for internal flash storage in Europe. UFS 3.1 storage size is always 256 GB and is not expandable.
The camera is the focus of the Oppo Find X5 Pro 5G. The camera system was developed in collaboration with Swedish camera specialist Hasselblad, and uses two advanced Sony IMX766 sensors. One of the sensors is used for the main camera, which has a field of view of 80 degrees and aperture of F / 1.7.
The second uses two 50MP sensors for an ultra-wide-angle camera with a maximum aperture of F/2.2.
There is also a 13-megapixel camera with an F / 2.4 lens slot. Thanks to the telephoto lens, zooming up to 5x should be possible using hybrid zoom.
Up to 20x magnification is possible with digital zoom. It appears that at least two of the IMX766 sensors have optical image stabilization.
Leaked full specifications of the upcoming OPPO phone
Focusing is omnidirectional using what's called full-pixel PDAF, so there's no laser autofocus or ToF here.
However, the back shows that a color sensor is built in here as well. In addition, there is a statement that the phone is powered by MariSilicon.
This shows that OPPO has integrated the all-new MariSilicon X Imaging NPU, a support processing unit that can implement imaging functions with AI support.
According to Oppo, 4K UHD videos can be recorded at up to 60 frames per second. The camera system provides various AI effects and assistants, including a special night mode.
The front camera is equipped with a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with an F / 2.4 lens slot and a 90-degree field of view.
Find X5 Pro features a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging, wireless connectivity via wireless charging, and a new 80W power adapter.
The device is also IP68 certified for water and dust resistance and is housed in an aluminum and glass body.
Find X5 Pro has two stereo speakers and supports Dolby Atmos surround sound. It runs Android 12 with the ColorOS 12.1 user interface. Find X5 Pro will also be launched in Germany in the coming weeks.
