Huawei launches smart office products for consumers |
China's Huawei has unveiled seven new smart office products, including a high-end laptop computer, a pre-printer and an e-ink tablet, underlining its commitment to consumers after US trade restrictions were imposed on the mobile sector.
Products on display include Huawei's first multifunction laser printer, the PixLab X1. The PixLab X1 prints, scans and copies, making it ideal for home and small office users.
Features like pop-up pairing, one-touch printing, and remote printing make it easy to use the printer on phones and tablets.
And the MateBook X Pro delivers an enhanced intelligent experience. The MateBook X Pro is the company's latest laptop. The device is connected to the super device system and works with other Huawei devices, bringing a new smart desktop experience.
Huawei's first OLED laptop, the MateBook E delivers a 2-in-1 computing experience. The MateBook E is designed for consumers with mobile office needs. It combines the advantages of traditional laptops and tablets to meet different needs by changing the shape freely.
The MateStation X is an all-in-one device with a true full-screen color display that acts as a simple desktop contact center. This is Huawei's first all-in-one desktop computer. It has a simple design with no visible ports on the back.
Huawei's first e-ink tablet, MatePad Paper, unlocks an immersive reading and writing experience. Equipped with a full-screen 10.3-inch E Ink display, the device uses Huawei's E Ink screen optimization algorithm to deliver a natural, paper-like experience.
MatePad Paper is used with the second generation of the M-Pencil and supports multiple input methods such as handwriting, recording, and handwriting to text.
The new Hongmeng OS MatePad tablet makes working and studying easier. The new MatePad features a 10.4-inch full 2K display.
Huawei continues to innovate to serve consumers
There is also the Sound Joy, the first portable speaker jointly developed by Huawei and Devialet, which provides users with quality sound through its four speaker system.
The company supplied the device with an 8800 mAh battery that supports 26 hours of continuous use on a single charge. It is also IP67 water and dust resistant.
Yu Chengdong, CEO of Consumer Business Group, said in a video presentation ahead of Mobile World Congress that the products are a bold statement of the smart office concept.
The products are increasingly attracting people who work from home, said William Tian, head of consumer company Huawei in Western Europe.
"They are not stand-alone devices," he said in an interview. Thanks to the concept of super devices, we can communicate and collaborate more easily.
The super device concept is a technology that allows Huawei products to connect and share capabilities and resources. Tian said Huawei remains committed to the smartphone market despite the US trade ban.
We continue to invest in new technologies to maintain our leadership in the smartphone category. The company has no problem in supplying chips for its products. And we can meet the market demand, there is no supply problem.
The US imposed a trade embargo in 2019, which took full effect a year later. The ban prevents the company from using Google services through the Android operating system and limits its chip technology.
