Tik Tok enters the restaurant business with TikTok Kitchen |
TikTok has announced that it will partner with Virtual Dining Concepts from March 2022 to open TikTok Kitchen takeaway stores in the United States only.
Food and recipe videos have become a huge part of TikTok shows, and the videos have garnered millions of views. The company recently said that more than a billion people around the world use the platform every month.
Virtual Dining Concepts has successfully backed popular and non-famous restaurants, most notably MrBeast Burger, which has been popular since it was launched by YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson in fall 2020.
Mr. Best Burger sold 1 million burgers in three months. It now has 1,500 virtual locations in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Co-founder Robert Earl said he plans to open about 300 TikTok kitchens across the country.
More than 1,000 TikTok Kitchen stores are expected to open by the end of 2022. Earl expects success on par with MrBeast Burger.
“They have a platform that gets a billion viewers every month, and they always interact,” Earl said. This is the first time such a brand has appeared with hundreds of millions of viewers.
The TikTok Kitchen menu is based on the app's most popular food trends, including grilled feta pasta, which Google lists as the most requested dish of 2021.

The opening menu also includes macaroni—boiled, cheesy, and air-fried macaroni—and baby corn ribs, which are made by peeling corn kernels and sprinkling them with spices and Parmesan cheese.
The price of the Virtual Dining Concept is similar to other brands, Earl said. MrBeast Burger starts at $6.99.
The list is changed every three months. If the dish spreads quickly, there is a good chance that it will be included in the menu.
Additionally, TikTok said it will allocate restaurant profits to menu item creators and support promising culinary talent on the platform.
The platform has not specified how it will determine the true originator of the court, which sometimes belongs to multiple people, or the income it would like to generate and distribute. The cutlery manufacturer's name does not appear in the TikTok Kitchen menu.
