LG launched its first gaming laptop |
LG announced the launch of its first gaming laptop, the UltraGear 17G90Q. This 17-inch laptop uses a combination of an 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q graphics card. It can be configured with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB of M.2 NVMe storage.
It should be noted that the industry of LG laptops is no stranger. However, the goal of its earlier models is overall desktop efficiency rather than offering a premium gaming experience.
The LG Gram 17, for example, is a lightweight professional device. However, the lack of a dedicated GPU means that it is not a gaming console.
The company listed two laptops with NVIDIA GPUs on its website. But they all have a low-power GeForce GTX 1650 card.
In contrast, the GeForce RTX 3080 in the new UltraGear 17G90Q is the company's fastest NVIDIA GPU for today's laptops.

Additional specs include a 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display with a 300Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time and 99% sRGB coverage.
There's a 93Wh battery, per-key RGB lighting, a fingerprint sensor via the power button, an FHD webcam with two microphones and an infrared camera for Windows Hello.
There are also stereo speakers with DTS X Ultra, a steam bath cooling system, and UltraGear Studio software to control system performance and fan speed. The case is made of aluminum and the laptop is in dark gray.
Although I use the LG UltraGear 17G90Q for gaming. But it still has a number of physical outlets. There are two USB-C ports (including USB 4), two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, an HDMI port, and Ethernet. There is also a microSD card slot. The load is managed with a dedicated DC input.
LG UltraGear 17G90Q pricing will be announced. But LG announced that it will reveal more details at CES 2022 on January 4. It will debut in the United States and South Korea in early 2022.
