Line Corporation, wholly owned by Z Holdings and headquartered in Japan, will launch its NFT service through its new LineNext line next year, to provide businesses and individuals with a marketplace for NFT transactions worldwide (excluding Japan).
A spokesperson for Line said that the company is independently developing a beta version of the NFT marketplace for the Japanese market through the Line Bitmax wallet.
The company announced last week that it has launched LineNext in South Korea and the United States, with a focus on growing the global NFT ecosystem.
LineNext, based in South Korea, employs about 100 people and works on strategy and planning for the global NFT platform.
LineNext develops and operates the NFT trading platform in the USA. The spokesman pointed out that the US office employs 55 people.
As LineNext is a platform provider, transaction brokerage fees are the main source of income. Plans to increase sources of income in the future.
The spokesperson said LineNext is currently discussing potential partnerships with about 20 global partners.
