| Tesla sells home chargers that can be used with other electric cars |
Tesla has released a new home wall charger suitable for other electric vehicles that uses a standard J1772 connector instead of a proprietary connector, which means it should be compatible with other electric vehicles in North America.
On the same day, a Supercharger station in the Netherlands began enabling non-electric vehicle charging and the company's online store was expanded to include a new two-stage wall charger, which was the first step in the process.
The charger is also competitive at $415. It must be installed by a professional electrician. The company says it can charge up to 9.6 kilowatts (40 amps) and is designed for indoor or outdoor installations.
The J1772 Gen 2 wall connector powers the vehicle and is equipped with a 7.3-meter cable. For car owners, the company recommends using wall-mounted connectors for the best charging experience at home. The J1772 Gen 2 wall connector requires an adapter for Tesla vehicles.
The charger is basically a modified version of the company's second generation home charger. However, it won't have some of the more advanced features (such as wireless) in the Gen 3 version that the company is currently selling to owners.
The company has led the electric car plan for many years, and the opening of its new network of wall chargers and superchargers shows its willingness to sell several new electric cars.

However, with these measures, the company will not generate as much revenue as the main business of the auto industry. But there may be a good chance.
Although many well-established automakers sell their own domestic chargers, the overseas domestic charger market is full of brands that are often difficult to identify.
The company recommends installing a charger with a 50-amp breaker for maximum performance. For multiple electric vehicle owners, up to four J1772 second generation wall connectors can share the available power supply.
This allows for charging multiple cars at home. Power can only be shared when connected to other J1772 second generation wall outlets.
