Fisker Electric Ocean has a rotating center screen |
Fisker, an electric vehicle startup, revealed a production version of its first electric vehicle, the Fisker Ocean SUV, at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show.
This car is similar to the prototype car that debuted at CES 2020, but has some notable new features, including a 17.1-inch touchscreen that can be rotated from portrait to landscape.
Henrik Fisker, founder and CEO of Fisker, said, “When you use your phone and write on it, hold it this way. When you want to take a picture or watch a movie, turn the phone this way.
He added: Our car has a screen that can be changed from portrait to landscape with the push of a button. turn around.
Fisker did not explain why the rotating touch screen is the size of a small TV.
But buyers who want a screen must pay $69,000. This is because it is available in the Ocean Extreme edition.
A solar roof is also available on the Ocean Extreme, a feature of the original prototype. The company said that these panels can get enough energy from the sun to enable cars to travel 2,414 kilometers annually.
Ocean Extreme buyers can get a better sound system, heated front and rear seats, and other exclusive features.
The Ocean Ultra version is priced at around $50,000. The base version of the Ocean Sport costs $37,500. All three models are equipped with the company's advanced driver assistance system.

In terms of performance, the company claims the Ocean Sport has a range of about 250 miles. Ocean Sports draws its power from the battery and sends it to a single engine at the front of the car with a maximum output of 275 horsepower. However, the company claims that it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.9 seconds.
The Ocean Ultra and Ocean Extreme both use batteries and have a range of 340 miles and 350 miles, respectively. Both models are equipped with all-wheel drive with two electric motors.
The power of two Ocean Ultra engines reaches 540 hp, which reaches 100 km / h in 3.9 seconds. The Ocean Extreme develops 550 horsepower in 3.6 seconds and reaches 100 kilometers per hour. Both versions offer torque vectoring.
The company said all three models can charge other electric vehicles or car owners' homes, part of the startup's larger mission to promote clean energy.
This most important task involves the use of recycled materials inside the vehicle. Relying on the plant's hydroelectric production, it produces four-wheel drive vehicles and solar panels.
