| Alfa Romeo will launch the electric Giulia in 2024 |
Italian car manufacturer Alfa Romeo is developing an all-electric version of the four-door Giulia sedan.
Jean-Philippe Imbrato, CEO of Alfa Romeo, said that the electric vehicle will enter the market sometime in 2024. In addition, he announced that this vehicle will be manufactured on the large STLA platform of parent company Stellantis.
The company also relies on electric SUVs. Imbrato said the company has a future for Giulia. This also applies to SUVs.
According to Imbrato, the brand should convert its model series to fully electric cars by 2027, so the company must switch to electric.
Despite the switch to an all-electric drive system, the company's president explained that in its 111 years of operation, the brand continues to prioritize driver and sport steering for its cars.

The company plans to become fully electric by 2027
Speaking of the technical underpinnings of the new Giulia: from the current Giorgio internal combustion engine platform, it has moved to the large STLA architecture of parent company Stellantis, which offers a range of at least 800 km and battery sizes from 101 kW to 118 kW.

STLA Large is designed for powerful ATVs. Stellantis gave a potential 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.0 seconds for cars based on this technology.
