Xbox celebrates its 20th anniversary |
Microsoft is celebrating the Xbox brand's 20th anniversary with a slew of new products. The original gaming platform was launched on November 15, 2001, paving the way for the company to become one of the biggest names in the gaming industry.
The highlight is the new wireless controller in a special edition which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. It's a customized version of the modern Xbox wireless controller introduced with the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. But there are design cues to mark the occasion.
The temple has a transparent front panel and there is a small 20th anniversary logo under the face buttons. All buttons have gray stickers, except for the Xbox button is now green and the rubber button on the back of the console is green as well.
It's still at the heart of modern Xbox wireless controllers. Therefore, it is suitable for the current generation of Xbox and Xbox One game consoles and Bluetooth-enabled devices, including Windows PC, Android and iOS.
When you connect this console to your Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, you will also get an exclusive live wallpaper for the console dashboard.
The Clear Wireless Joystick Special Edition is priced at $69.99 and will be available on November 15th.

Razer joins the celebration of the 20th anniversary of its limited edition Xbox Universal Fast Charging Cabinet. It was originally launched last month.
In addition, this charging station allows you to see the joystick in less than 3 hours when it is fully charged and is equipped with an overload protection to prevent overheating.
Like the special edition joystick, the prop uses a clear interface and a green logo to celebrate the Xbox's 20th anniversary.
