Twitter lets anyone create a spaces |
After a steady increase in visits throughout the year, Twitter announced that a voice chat feature called Twitter Spaces is now open to anyone looking to host Space on iOS and Android.
Earlier this year, the company restricted access to accounts hosting Spaces with at least 600 fans and found that those accounts likely had a good experience because they had an existing audience.
The platform now states that the option is available to all mobile users through their apps. Based on the graphics shared with the ad, users can start in first place by clicking the Create button, which is the button that allows them to post a tweet.
The platform has tried in the past to provide Spaces with its own tabs in the app. However, it is not advertised or displayed in the current image shared with the advertisement.
Twitter users who are testing another new feature called beta "Communities" will see a "Community" button in the middle of the app's navigation bar.
The platform said that the Dedicated Spaces tab was recently expanded on iOS to accommodate more English speakers, but it is not yet available for Android.
Twitter has made this functionality available to all users
Since the beta version began last year, the company has worked hard to improve Spaces. Recently, Spaces hosts can add co-hosts and up to 10 speakers. This enables better monitoring of large events.
The company created a fund called Spark Project for Spaces Content Creators. I also tried Ticketed Spaces, which is a sound space that you have to pay for.
The Fleets Stories feature has also been discontinued this summer. This makes Spaces the only product to appear in the top tier of its mobile apps.
Since the inception of Spaces, several major platforms have launched their own voice networking products. This was after the release of the Clubhouse Social Audio app, which became a popular pastime during the height of the pandemic.
Spaces and Clubhouse now competes with Live Voice Rooms on platforms such as Facebook, Spotify, Greenroom, Discord, and Reddit.
