Tesla's deal with Hertz could change the car market |
Tesla suffered many losses in the early days, partly due to insufficient funds and partly due to a lack of interest in electric cars. But the situation has changed a lot in recent years and Tesla Motors has become a role model in everything related to electric vehicles.
Tesla has signed a major deal with car rental giant Hertz which announced that it will buy 100,000 vehicles from Tesla for $4.2 billion.
This transaction is considered one of the most important transactions in the car rental market or the general car market. Especially since they are still electric cars. But this deal could have more implications than some think.
In fact, Hertz has announced that 50,000 vehicles included in the deal will be leased to drivers who work with Uber, with Uber itself going to lease Hertz vehicles to its drivers.
The bigger picture now involves 100,000 cars being sold at the same time, half of which are used by Uber services. The big winner in this deal is undoubtedly Elon Musk's company, not only because it will generate good sales, but other factors as well.

If a company sells 100,000 products it makes, regardless of the product, it offers a huge discount due to the large volume of orders. That didn't happen, however, as Elon Musk confirmed on Twitter that these cars would be sold to Hertz for the same price they would be sold to regular customers.
As a result, the company won a huge contract, but most importantly, the popularity of its cars. This is because users can now rent a Tesla, use it for testing, and even use it for Uber services.
According to a 2015 study, 62% of car rental companies, especially those who choose a specific car, simply want to test it out before buying and owning it.
Now that there are 50,000 rental cars, it's easy for anyone to try. In addition, the popularity of these cars in Uber services will largely reflect the image of their reliability.
In fact, the Turo car rental platform has shown that a large number of Tesla cars rented through the platform are for test drives, not travel. In fact, the user rents it and uses it for a few days to be able to rate it before buying it.
