roblox down 2 days ago due to server issues |
Roblox has been closed for more than two days because the game and related websites are offline for millions of players.
While many frustrated players blamed Chipotle Mexican Grill for the in-game promotions, the developers said that the free burritos weren't the cause of the blackout.
This popular game creation platform started experiencing problems on October 28. She initially said that she was working hard to get things back to normal and that she decided it was an internal problem with the system.
The company confirmed that its platform has not been disrupted by external disturbances and that the company is working around the clock to fix the large-scale disruptions.
A company spokesperson said: “We believe we have identified the potential internal cause of the failure and that there is no evidence of external disturbances. We are doing the engineering and maintenance necessary to get Roblox up and running as quickly as possible.” We're sorry that our community was unable to use the platform.
Some platformers initially speculated that the disruption might be related to promotion of the game by restaurant company Chipotle Mexican Grill.
As part of the game's Halloween event, Chipotle Mexican Grill will be offering a free $1 million burrito on the platform.
The operation was broadcast live on October 28, after which the platform was largely discontinued. The platform quickly revealed issues unrelated to Chipotle's promotion.
roblox has been disabled for more than 35 hours
The official ROBLOX Twitter account states: "We understand that this disruption has nothing to do with any particular experience or partnership on the platform.
The platform is careful not to hold major partners responsible for a server downtime of this magnitude. As for the actual cause of server failure, the platform did not clarify the possible reason.
The base station is still not connected, in maintenance mode and the status page has not been updated for more than 24 hours.
Roblox is especially popular among kids as more than 50% of its players are under the age of 13.
It is played by more than 40 million people every day. Its popularity increased during the 2020 pandemic. Millions of people are flocking to game makers, apps or platforms to play games, go to parties, and even appear at award shows.
