Mercedes electric delivery truck cleans the surrounding air |
At the COP26 climate conference, Mercedes highlighted the efforts of electric cars and showed that sustainability means more than battery power.
The company has introduced the concept of an all-electric sustainable delivery truck and is also working on improving the environment.
No matter the speed, particulate filters in the front and under the tire can clean the air around the truck.
It also uses ceramic-coated cast iron disc brakes to reduce the amount of dust in the air and reduce brake wear.
The Sustainability Roof is also equipped with solar panels to increase range and reduce the need for additional charging. This sometimes leads to carbon dioxide emissions.
Regardless of whether the truck is running or not, it can power devices such as tools and laptops.
Although solar energy in electric cars is not new. What is clear, however, is that Mercedes hopes to use such applications to make electric cars as environmentally friendly as possible.
Other eco-friendly technologies are energy-efficient, body-hugging heating systems, including seat belts and extensive use of recycled materials.

The company uses household waste to make the covers, natural straw to make cab fenders, and uses recycled polypropylene bottoms and used tires.
Mercedes has also reduced noise pollution. Thanks to the quiet transmission, tires with low rolling resistance and a quiet automatic trailer door.
Security is also an issue. Cameras monitor road conditions and report potholes and other dangers to the city. Digital mirrors provide a clearer view than standard delivery trucks.
Bioactive light keeps the driver's attention by filling the cab with daylight-like illumination while maintaining a natural rhythm.
There is no mention of Szienar's mass production plan. However, Mercedes has confirmed that all of the truck's technologies are designed for mass production.
You can see this on other trucks, not to mention other Mercedes cars. The company is facing other environmentally friendly technologies, such as sustainable maintenance of electric car batteries in 2022. The Cistainer is a reasonable extension of these plans.
